Writing for a new gaming blog

Me and two friends (developer Peter Moorhead and illustrator Diana Jakobsson) have started a gaming blog called You Have Been Playing, which just launched a day or two ago! The concept is basically to have fairly informal short reviews and insights, along with art from Diana and music by myself, related to any topic in the game scene. I'll be focusing on sound design and music in my posts, of course, and I'll definitely cross-post any music I upload to that blog here too, but even so the blog will be full of awesome articles and great art, so definitely go check it out. We just launched but there's already a few great pieces by Diana posted, as well as a thoughtful article by Peter about Capsized.

About Surasshu Sound

Welcome! I'm surasshu, and I'm a composer and sound designer, specialized in games. Even as a kid I was fascinated by games and their peculiar bleepy music. At age 12, a friend gave me a tracker on a floppy diskette and jump-started my composing career.

I've come a long way since then with many titles under my belt, having worked for Amaze Entertainment, Capcom, EA, and more. I even got a Master of Arts studying game music from the Hogeschool voor de Kunsten Utrecht, and a Bachelor with Honours for Sound Design. Those experiences changed me profoundly, but the love for game audio is still the same as when I was in elementary school.
